Lifetime Achievement Award to Mr. William (Terry) Coveney (2023)
Boxing Alberta is proud to present a Lifetime Achievement Award to Mr. William Coveney. Terry has coached boxing for over 40 years throughout Alberta and Saskatchewan, and is the current Head Coach of the Calgary Boxing Club. His tireless commitment to the sport has impacted countless boxers over the years, and we are truly lucky to have such an ambassador of the sport.
Terry was quick to recognize his mentors, Bud Cowan, Mansoor Esmail, and Gerry Burton as influential coaches in his life. This award is meant to recognize the sacrifices and dedication that an individual makes, and we could not think of a more deserving recipient.
Our association is grateful to all of our long time members and friends. Congratulations Terry on this special achievement, and we hope you continue sharing your knowledge and passion of the sport.
