Lodgepole Training Centre
While many provincial sports associations choose to have their training centre located in a major community, Boxing Alberta does not. Instead, it has a fabulous facility in the little hamlet of Lodgepole, which has a population of 300 and is located 28 kilometers west of Drayton Valley.
In 1989 Boxing Alberta purchased the former Lodgepole School from the Twin Rivers School District. Since that time we have renovated and expanded the facility, which is now known as the Lodgepole Training Centre. The 15,000 sq. ft. building is located on 6 acres of land, and is completely self-contained.
Outdoors, a completely fenced field contains a baseball diamond, 4 horseshoe pits and acres of space to play soccer, croquet or whatever your heart desires. There is also a huge deck and BBQ facilities just off the dining room.
This facility is ideal for seminars, retreats, service organizations, sports groups and church groups.
Located 28 km south-west of Drayton Valley, it is accessible by Highway 22 south of Entwhistle and the Yellowhead or west of Leduc via Highway 39. Two hours from Edmonton, 3 1/2 hours from Calgary, Lodgepole is situated centrally within the Province.
Utilization costs vary due to factors such as numbers of guests, menus, and so forth. We supply the kitchen and maintenance staff who are residents of the community.
If your group or organization desires a quiet, rustic, private facility with virtually no distractions, contact the Boxing Alberta office at 780-427-6515, or e-mailĀ albertaboxing@gmail.com.
